About this Course
The needs of individuals living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) are complex.
Care of such individuals generally occurs in the community.
A multidisciplinary assessment is essential and should include medical (neurology) and nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy and speech language therapy.
Following completion of this short course you will:
- Be aware of the presentation of MND.
- Be aware of the medical management of MND.
- Know how to manage the symptoms of MND.
- Be aware of the multidisciplinary team involved in the assessment and care of the patient with MND.
- Know how to discuss advanced care planning.
