Certificate of advanced dermoscopy

Hosted by The Skin Cancer Symposiums Ltd.

This two-day course is endorsed for 12.0 credits.

In our fully accredited and interactive Dermatoscopy symposium, we take you from “zero to hero” in two days with our world class presenters.

This symposium is designed as a more advanced and comprehensive course compared to our foundation course, aimed at doctors who have been dealing with skin cancers in their every day practice but would like to upskill and become proficient in the use of the dermatoscope.

In day 1, we will start with the building blocks of dermatoscopic language, how to do a systematic skin examination then systematically discuss the fundamentals of dermatoscopic diagnosis of melanoma and non melanoma skin cancers, while being able to confidently exclude benign lesions using the TADA algorithm.

Our symposium is designed with a carefully orchestrated educational process to ensure after day 1 you have a solid footing in dermatoscopy.

All participants will receive a complimentary Dermlite Dermatoscope (value $550 excluding GST) or the equivalent discount for an upgrade.

In day 2, we will consolidate your learnings from day 1. We will then add to and reinforce further insights to help improve your ability to diagnose melanomas, BCCs and SCCs with greater sensitivity and specificity.

In day 2 Professor Cliff Rosendahl will introduce you to the ‘Chaos and Clues’and ‘Prediction without Pigment’ algorithms.

Cliff co-authored both these algorithms which provide a logical framework to help answer the most important clinical question“does this lesion need removing?”

By the completion of day 2, you will become proficient and we are sure you will feel inspired to start assessing your patients lesions with more accuracy and with more confidence.
