The latest in weight management for New Zealand

Video

This webinar provides an overview of the current understanding of obesity, highlighting the biological, behavioural, and environmental drivers that make it more than just a lifestyle issue.

Dr James Shand explores the tangible health benefits associated with even modest weight loss in individuals with overweight or obesity, and discusses why early, proactive management is essential. The session will also cover the spectrum of evidence-based treatment options available in Aotearoa New Zealand, with a particular focus on pharmacotherapy; how and when it should be considered.

This session is aimed at primary care clinicians seeking practical, up-to-date guidance on managing obesity in everyday practice.
