Dr Peggy Chen

Peggy is a vocationally registered Specialist Dermatologist, and an American Mohs College certified Mohs Micrographic Surgeon based in New Plymouth.

Peggy completed her basic training in Dermatology in Waikato and Auckland region. She then furthered her training in London, working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Here she gained experiences in novel treatments for psoriasis and eczema and worked with world-renowned dermatologists in the field of genital dermatology. Subsequently, she sub-specialized in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and undertook her fellowship training in American Mohs College accredited training facility in Perth, Australia. During her time in London and Perth, she was involved in the training of GPs and medical students, writing book chapters, and presenting at national meetings and international conferences.

On top of her clinical work, Peggy is an associate editor of the Australasian Journal of Dermatology,  a member of the Ministry of Health Melanoma Standards Working Group, and a member of the New Zealand Advanced Dermatology Training Committee.
