Meningococcal disease in young people - a NZ perspective

Nikki Turner discusses the epidemiology of meningococcal disease in NZ including serotype. She discussed treatment options and outcomes in young people, the vaccinations available in NZ for meningococcal disease, including ACWY, and B, and recommendations for the timing of vaccines.

Nikki Turner is an academic General Practitioner and an Associate Professor in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, University of Auckland.

She works part-time as a General Practitioner at NUHS Broadway Clinic in Wellington.
