Presenter
Dr Arlo Upton is a graduate of the University of Otago Medical School. She trained in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases in Auckland. She then completed her training with a two-year research fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, USA. In addition to being Medical Director, Dr Upton works full time at Labtests as a clinical microbiologist. Her interests include viral hepatitis, the epidemiology of antibiotic resistance, medical education, and health economics. Dr Upton holds joint fellowships in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Infectious Diseases) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (Clinical Microbiology).
