Management of common infections

In this practical webinar, Stephen Ritchie will use the national antibiotic guidelines, Te Whata Kura, and demonstrate how they can support decision-making in common primary care presentations.

The session will also focus on recent changes and practical updates that clinicians need to be aware of, with an emphasis on safe, effective and consistent antibiotic use in everyday practice.

The webinar will focus on a modern approach to antibiotic use in people who report a penicillin allergy, updates in the management of cellulitis and respiratory tract infections, and increasing antimicrobial resistance in the bacteria that cause cystitis.

As always, we will answer as many questions as possible during this session.
