Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia Conference

The 2017 Annual Meeting of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia (NBPSA) will be held from Thursday 24th - Saturday 26th August 2017 in the beautiful City of Sails - Auckland, New Zealand

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee I would like to invite you to attend our upcoming meeting which will be held at the Langham Hotel, Auckland, between August 24 to 26 inclusive.

This is the first time the meeting has been held in New Zealand, giving practitioners based in New Zealand a chance to come and listen, upskill, contribute, and network. We already have exciting speakers confirmed including:

Talking Trouble Aotearoa NZ, Dr Jon Skinner, Dr Gail Flemming, Dr Louise Webster, Andrew Thompson, and the Centre for Youth Health talking on topics that will be of interest to all involved in the care of children with neurodevelopmental and behavioural issues.

The committee has developed a programme encompassing a wide range of topics that will be of interest to many clinicians, including:

  • Prolonged QT and medication for ADHD
  • How to demonstrate and use visuals
  • Family / doctor communication - what works, and what to do when it is not working well
  • Psychopharmacology
  • Youth Health / Gender identify through the lens of ID
  • Local Research
  • Sleep in children with disabilities
  • Bicultural practice
  • ASD diagnosis - who, when, how
