Sexual health issues in gay and bisexual men - Massimo Giola

Massimo Giola talks about sexual health issues in gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men. Massimo is a sexual health and general infectious disease physician for the Bay of Plenty DHB. He holds a PHD in HIV drugs pharmacokinetics and is on the board of trustees for the New Zealand AIDS foundation.

Sexual health - Nicky Perkins

Dr Nicky Perkins provides an update on sexual health in primary care. Nicky is a specialist in sexual health medicine at the Auckland regional sexual health service.

Chlamydia trachomatis; prevention, treatment and education

Chlamydia trachomatis is the most common treatable sexually transmitted infection in New Zealand, with gonorrhoea a distant second. It can infect the endocervix, urethra, rectum, pharynx and eyes. It is most commonly diagnosed in sexually active youth and young adults <25 years old, with Maori and Pacific peoples having higher rates of infection than Europeans. This course provides information as well as recent clinicial and and patient resources.
