Sports Performance and Prevention Conference 2019

Sports Performance and Prevention Conference 2019

The SPPC brings together a wide range of international and nationally acclaimed industry experts, for a valuable learning and sharing opportunity in New Zealand Sport.

The Sports Performance and Prevention Conference organisers, in collaboration with ACC SportSmart and New Zealand Football, are excited to bring you another pivotal conference for 2019 to the NZ sporting industry and those practicing within it. The 2019 Early bird ticket for the annual Sports Performance and Prevention Conference (SPPC) in Auckland in February are on sale now.

The "Sports Performance and Prevention Conference" activity has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and has been approved for up to 6 CME credits, for the General Practice Educational Programme (GPEP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.

This one day, multi factorial conference is a key event for anyone involved in the sports industry with the responsibility for ensuring the development, performance, welfare and health of our everyday athletes and sports people of NZ.

One of NZ’s leading Sport and Exercise Physician’s and Managing partner with Axis Sports Medicine Specialists and a valued partner to the 2019 conference, Dr. Mark Fulcher, said the Sports Performance and Prevention Conference is a must attend event for any sports practitioners and providers: “This is a great way to engage with the broader sports medicine community and sport practitioners in general, plus spread the word about best practice injury prevention and performance strategies. This allows us to improve the health and experience of all sports participants."

“The Everyday Athlete" will be the central theme for the 2019 conference. Presentations will be focused around sports performance, injury prevention, the female athlete, coach responsibility and health and well being within sport.
