In this talk we will discuss the management of common paediatric injuries including concussion, knee trauma, apophysitis and ankle ‘sprains’.
There will be a focus on providing some practical tools to help guide your assessment and referral in an urgent care setting.
We will also discuss some issues relating to kids’ sporting participation including early specialisation, the possible impact of heading/tacking on brain health and how much sport our kids should be playing with a view to proving tools to use when you talk to your patients and their whanau.
