Managing Two Common Dermatology GP Presentations: Melasma and Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

Melasma and seborrhoeic dermatitis are not related to each other, however they form two extremely common presentation within general practice. They both cause significant distress to patients given the clinical appearance and chronic nature each condition has. Treatment is often frustrating both for the patient and for their doctor. This talk aims to give some practical points in the identification of these conditions and strategies to manage them. Given they are both chronic conditions it is important to have the confidence to discuss these with patients and work along side them to achieve the best results.
