Skin lesion and dermatoscopy workshop
Workshop: 10.00am - 5pm.
Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are provided.
This workshop is intended for beginners, whether or not they own a dermatoscope.
The aim is to increase confidence in diagnosing typical benign skin lesions such as melanocytic naevus, seborrhoeic keratosis, vascular lesions, and dermatofibroma. You will gain an insight into the common elements of dermatoscopy (lines, clods, dots and structureless areas) and how they are arranged in patterns in benign lesions — loss of pattern often indicates a malignancy.
Learn how to spot melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma at a glance by recognising their clinical and dermatoscopic characteristics.
This workshop will include a series of regional, close-up and dermoscopic images essential for referral when diagnosis or management requires expert assistance.
Cost:
Registration Fee (add-on to Symposium registration) - $565
Registration Fee, Friday only participants (not part of Symposium) - $620
The Goodfellow Symposium is endorsed by RNZCGP and the College of Nurses Aotearoa NZ for professional development purposes. You are able to claim one CPD point per educational hour.
