Peter is a specialist Upper GI/HPB Surgeon. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Sydney and a FRACS in General Surgery. Following this, he spent 2 years sub-specialising in Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Auckland City Hospital and The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, with a further two years focusing on adult and paediatric liver transplantation. He completed the UPMC Advanced Robotics Training Program.
His interest in Change management and Leadership led him to complete The Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program.
Peter lives in Auckland with his wife, Emily, and three children. He is a proponent of lifestyle medicine and enjoys incorporating these principles into his practice. In his spare time, Peter enjoys running, skiing, rockclimbing, and tramping.
