Angela Ballantyne

Professor of Bioethics

Angela teaches bioethics within the medical programme at the university of Otago Wellington. and has held roles with the world health organisation in Geneva, yale university and the national university of Singapore.

Angela has served as the president of the international association of bioethics. was a founding member of the international journal of feminist approaches to bioethics and advocacy group birth trauma Aotearoa. 

Angela also contributes to national expert groups on AI research ethics, reproductive ethics and immunisation policy.
