Silvanya is an Adult Psychiatrist with experience in Primary Care Liaison and Crisis Mental Health work in Auckland.
She currently works as a locum psychiatrist across New Zealand and Australia; most recently in Adult Inpatient Psychiatry, Perth, Australia. She is involved in teaching in the Northern Region Psychiatry Training Programme in Auckland and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the University of Auckland in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
She has previously been invited to speak at the HealthTRx e-Mental health forum, the AM show, and Radio Live NZ. Her special interest areas include medicolegal aspects of care, the intersection of art and psychiatry and managing complex crisis mental health presentations.
She is passionate about advocating for holistic, patient-centred, quality care.
