These increased presentations contribute to increasing financial costs, overcrowding, health care associated infections and patients leaving before being seen.
International literature describes the Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) model as a solution to this problem. This presentation explores an evidence base informing the establishment of UCCs in Australia.
