Ruth Choi Lee

Ruth is a Palliative care postgraduate specialisation lead at the Department of General Practice and Primary Care Department at the University of Auckland.

She also works as a social worker at Hospice West Auckland, serving in diverse capacities. Her roles have included offering support to patients and their families in the community and within the inpatient unit, providing advisory support to GPs and primary care (Poi), training volunteers, and developing social care programs. In addition to her practical experience, she has conducted research in the field of Palliative care social practice. She is currently undertaking further studies, focusing on the experiences of GPs and primary care providers in delivering palliative care to strengthen the workforce and enhance service delivery.
