The liver dilemma: When to cut, cure, or observe
A guide to abnormal hepatic findings
This interactive, case-based session explores the common but often complex challenge of interpreting and managing abnormal liver and hepatobiliary findings in primary care. Using real-world cases, Adam and Cameron will navigate the practical decision-making process behind when to investigate, when to intervene, and when to safely observe.
The discussion will cover key issues such as assessing abnormal liver enzymes, interpreting incidental imaging findings, managing metabolic-associated liver disease (MASLD), and decision-making around gallbladder and gastric polyps.
By the end of the session, attendees will have an evidence-based framework for managing liver-related findings in the community, identifying red flags, and understanding when specialist input or surgical intervention is appropriate.
