Skin lesion and dermatoscopy
Workshop: 10.00am - 5pm.
Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are provided
This workshop is intended for beginners, whether or not they own a dermatoscope.
The aim is to increase confidence in diagnosing typical benign skin lesions such as melanocytic naevus, seborrhoeic keratosis, vascular lesions, and dermatofibroma.
You'll learn the common elements of dermatoscopy (lines, clods, dots and structureless areas) and how they are arranged in patterns in benign lesions — loss of pattern often indicates a malignancy.
Spot melanoma, basal, and squamous cell carcinomas at a glance by recognising their clinical and dermatoscopic characteristics.
Regional, close-up and dermoscopic images are essential for referral when diagnosis or management requires expert assistance. We'll aim for an interactive forum.
Cost:
Registration Fee (add-on to Symposium registration) - $575
Registration Fee, Friday only participants (not part of Symposium) - $630
This workshop has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and the College of Nurses Aotearoa NZ and has been approved for professional development purposes. If you attend the entire workshop you will receive 6 CPD points towards your hours of learning.
