Aaron O’Connell

Clinical Psychologist

Aaron is a clinical psychologist trained in New Zealand, originally specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, and psychosis.

After 25 years in secondary mental health, he transitioned to primary care, serving as the clinical lead for the HIP pilot and becoming one of the first two HIP trainers, as well as a trainer of trainers.

Aaron has a diverse range of hands-on experience applying CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) across various settings, and he has shifted his focus from "talking therapies" to "behavioral change."
