Physician and Psychiatrist
MD,MPH, FRACP, FACP;
Chris is New Zealand’s only dual-trained physician and psychiatrist, holding faculty positions at Duke University in both medicine and psychiatry. He consults for the NZ Coroners, judiciary, MCNZ, MAS, and ACC, and serves as a neuropsychiatric advisor to the UN on aviation mental health.
His sabbatical included work with the US FAA and training in hostage/crisis negotiation with the FBI Academy. An active academic, he has published over 25 peer-reviewed papers and delivered more than 50 invited talks worldwide, spanning fields from underwater to aerospace medicine.
