Joel joined Auckland Eye in 2022. He is an eye surgeon who specialises in vitreo-retinal surgery and general ophthalmic surgery, including cataract surgery. Joel speaks Mandarin and has a particular interest in secondary intraocular lens implantation and complex vitreo-retinal surgery.
Joel has a passion for clinical research and teaching, and strives to achieve the best possible outcome for the patients he cares for. He is a member of both the American and European Society of Retinal Specialists, as well as the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists.
