Marius is a Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist based in Auckland, working across both public and private sectors — including Waitemata Endoscopy, North Shore Hospital, and Waitakere Hospital.
He specialises in minimally invasive diagnostics and therapeutic endoscopy, with expertise in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, SpyGlass cholangioscopy, and endoscopic mucosal resection.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame Medical School in Perth, Dr van Rijnsoever undertook advanced training at Fremantle Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, and the Sir Charles Gairdner Liver Transplant Unit. He further refined his skills through an interventional endoscopy fellowship at Waitematā DHB.
