Wilmé Steenekamp is an experienced GP with her roots from South Africa, and now a full time clinical psychologist. She earned her medical qualification in 1985. Her diverse medical journey led her through rural hospitals, emergency departments, and general medical practice, where she developed a keen interest in the emotional dimensions of patients' experiences with physical illness.
Wilmé's interests extended beyond conventional medical realms, delving into the nuanced intersection of physical, mental and social health - including sexuality.
Her focus lies in refining her therapeutic skills (including that of couples therapy) and nurturing relationships, offering a holistic approach to address the intricate interplay between mental health, physical well-being, and human connections.
